A coordination meeting was held between the Secretary-General of the International Forum for Development Organizations, Mr. Maamoun Al-Ashqar, and representatives of the Kuwait Awqaf Public Foundation and the International Islamic Charitable Organization, as part of ongoing preparations for the Digital Awqaf Symposium scheduled to be held in Malaysia.
During the meeting, participants discussed the organizational and technical aspects of the symposium, as well as its main themes, which focus on the role of digital transformation in developing Awqaf management, enhancing its efficiency, and expanding its development impact. The discussion also highlighted the importance of utilizing modern digital technologies to improve governance, transparency, and the sustainability of endowment resources.
The meeting aimed to coordinate efforts among partner organizations and ensure role integration in preparing for this specialized symposium, contributing to the delivery of knowledge-based and practical content that serves professionals working in the Awqaf sector while keeping pace with rapid digital transformations at both regional and international levels.
This symposium comes as part of the International Forum for Development Organizations’ efforts to promote dialogue on contemporary issues related to development and endowment work and to build strategic partnerships that support the development of innovative and sustainable Awqaf management models that achieve long-term development impact.
