The Secretary-General of the International Forum for Development Organizations, Mr. Maamoun Al-Ashqar, participated in the Corporate Social Responsibility and Its Role in Sustainable Development Conference, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain on January 14, 2025, with broad participation from leaders and representatives of economic and development sectors across the Arab world.
The conference was organized by the Union of Arab Chambers in cooperation with the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, with the participation of several international institutions and organizations concerned with corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
The conference addressed the role of the business sector in supporting sustainable development pathways, strengthening partnerships between the private sector and development organizations, and discussing best practices in corporate social responsibility. It also highlighted the importance of integrating social and environmental dimensions into the strategies of companies and economic institutions.
The participation of the Secretary-General of the International Forum for Development Organizations reflects the Forum’s commitment to strengthening its presence in relevant regional and international events and expanding its network with economic and development stakeholders. This contributes to supporting dialogue on building effective and sustainable cross-sector partnerships and enhancing the role of corporate social responsibility in achieving long-term development impact.
